Andrés Orozco-Estrada appointed new Principal Conductor of the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai

Andrés Orozco-Estrada has been appointed as the new Principal Conductor of the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai starting from October 2023.

He made his debut with the orchestra a year ago, in May 2022, with a concert that fascinated with performances of two works by Richard Strauss (Suite from "Der Rosenkavalier" and "Don Juan"). It was on that occasion that the desire for a permanent collaboration, which will kick off in October, was mutually born between him and the orchestra.

His next engagement with the Rai ensemble will be the Republic Day Concert organized together with the City of Turin, scheduled for Friday, June 2, at 8:30 p.m. at the Auditorium Rai "Arturo Toscanini" , offered in live streaming by Rai Cultura and also broadcast live on Radio3.
