Andrés Orozco-Estrada to be Cologne’s new GMD and Gürzenich Kapellmeister

Andrés Orozco-Estrada will take up the position of Gürzenich Kapellmeister and GMD of the city of Cologne from 2025/26 season.

"I am very much looking forward to working as GMD of the City of Cologne and Gürzenich Kapellmeister in one of Europe's important cultural metropolises from 2025 onwards and to playing a decisive role in shaping its artistic future. Together with the Gürzenich Orchestra and the Cologne Opera, I would like to inspire all the people of Cologne with music and for music, and to represent and present Cologne as a city of music internationally. I am grateful to the City of Cologne for its trust and dedicate myself to this great task with full commitment and passion."
