Antoine Tamestit Artist in Residence of the NDR Elbphilharmonieorchester 2024/2025
As "Artist in Residence" of the NDR Elbphilharmonieorchester, Antoine Tamestit will perform in three symphonic projects and a special chamber music project with musicians from the orchestra in the 24/25 season. The season will kick off with concerts with Alan Gilbert featuring Hindemith's Kammermusik Nr. 5 for viola and orchestra and Bach's 6th Brandenburg Concerto. Antoine Tamestit will take on one of the viola solo parts, with Alan Gilbert playing the other. Sofia Gubaidulina's Concerto for Viola and Orchestra under the direction of Pablo Heras-Casado and Mozart's Sinfonia concertante with violinist James Ehens under the direction of Louis Langrée will follow in May and June 2025.
