Kirill Gerstein plays 1st Piano Concerto by Thomas Adès with the Gewandhaus Orchestra and Andris Nelsons

Today and tomorrow Kirill Gerstein will perform Thomas Adès' First Piano Concerto "In Seven Days" at the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig. Under the direction of Andris Nelsons aaccompanied by the Gewandhaus Orchestra, Kirill will thus continue to focus on Thomas Adès' repertoire for piano - just recently he played the Austrian premiere of the composer's Second Piano Concerto, composed especially for him, in Vienna.
