Michel Tabachnik begins a two-week stay in Japan today: he will first conduct a concert by the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra (April 12 and 13), with works by Alban Berg, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Richard Strauss on the program. The following week he will be a guest of the Gunma Symphony Orchestra for a concert on April 20, with a program ranging from Schönberg to Beethoven and Brahms, with Till Fellner as soloist.
