Semyon Bychkov, Chief Conductor and Music Director of the Czech Philharmonic, returns to Vienna State Opera for a series of Elektra-performances. His debut at the house in 1999 was with the same work and he has since then also conducted Daphne, Parsifal, Lohengrin, Tristan & Isolde as well as Chowanschtschina there. In January this year Bychkov conducted the Vienna Philharmonic at the celebrated concert marking the 150th anniversary of Vienna Musikverein.
