Two awards for Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla's Weinberg-album

The debut album of the conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla with Deutsche Grammophon has just been awarded the "Gramophon Classical Music Award" by the prestigious Gramophon Magazine. The magazine rated her recording of Mieczysław Weinberg's Symphonies No. 2 and No. 21 together with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Gidon Kremer and the Kremerata Baltica as “one of the most important symphonic releases of the year”. In addition to the OPUS KLASSIK 2020, which the Lithuanian conductor will receive as “Conductor of the Year”, the album won the Gramophone Awards in the “Orchestral” category
