Davies offers an extremely fine account of the Fifth [Symphony by A. Bruckner] whereas the playing of the Bruckner Orchestra Linz is excellent. Davies‘ conducting is consistently compelling so if you’re after a persuasive, digitally recorded entree into this repertoire you could hardly to better.
