A concert at Carnegie Hall, NY is the starting point of Filharmonie Brno’s US-tour under its artistic director Dennis Russell Davies on Wed, 8 February 2023. At the New York concert, the orchestra will present a programme it had already played at the Gewandhaus Leipzig just before the tour started: Bohuslav Martinů's "Thunderbolt" and Leos Janáček's "Taras Bulba" together with Philip Glass' 12th Symphony "Lodger", featuring Angelique Kidjo (soprano) and Christian Schmitt (organ). The programmes of the other six concerts on tour reflect the Czech-American connection equally well. Toi, toi, toi for a beautiful journey "to the New World"!
