Lithuanian conductor Mirga Grazinytė-Tyla makes her debut with the Munich Philharmonic this week. The program includes "De Profundis" by composer Raminta Šerkšnytė, Robert Schumann's Piano Concerto (op. 54) with Igor Levit as soloist, and Mieczysław Weinberg's Symphony No. 3 (op. 45). This work recently appeared as part of Grazinytė-Tyla´s latest Deutsche Grammophon release.
The concerts will take place on December 2nd and 3rd at the Munich Isarphilharmonie, with a moderated youth concert on December 1st as part of the orchestra’s Music Education Concerts.
